Cinema8 allows you to choose pre-designed text widgets from the widget library, so you can easily create professional animations without starting from scratch.
How to Add and Animate Creative FontsStep 1: Add a Widget Element
Open Your Video in Cinema8 Creative Studio
- Log in to your Cinema8 dashboard and select the video you want to edit.
- Open the video in Creative Studio.
Access the Widget Library
- Open the Elements Panel and drag the Widget Element onto your timeline.
Choose a Text Widget
- From the Widget Library, select a text-based widget. Cinema8 offers a variety of options, including:
- Text Effect: For animated titles or headers.
- Call-to-Action (CTA): For text-based CTAs encouraging actions like sign-ups.
- Lower Third: For speaker names or event details.
- Transition/Transform: For animated text transitions or emphasis effects.
Step 2: Customize the Text Widget
Edit Text Content
- Click on the widget and enter the desired text in the Properties Panel.
Customize Font Settings
- In the Properties Panel, adjust:
- Font: Choose from Cinema8’s font library or upload your own.
- Size: Resize text to suit your design.
- Color: Match text colors with your branding.
- Styling: Apply bold, italic, underline, or shadow effects.
Step 3: Animate Your Text
Select Entry and Exit Animations
- In the Properties Panel, choose animations for how the text appears (entry effect) and disappears (exit effect). Options include:
- Fade-in or fade-out
- Slide-in from different directions
- Zoom-in or zoom-out
Adjust Animation Timing
- Set the start and end times for the animation using the timeline.
- Control the speed of the animation by adjusting its duration.
Preview Your Text Animation
- Use the Preview function to see how the animated text looks in your video.
- Keep it readable: Avoid overly decorative fonts that make text hard to read.
- Use animations strategically: Don’t overuse effects; keep animations subtle and effective.
- Match brand consistency: Ensure the font style aligns with your brand identity.
- Test different effects: Experiment with different animations to see which ones enhance engagement.
