How to Publish a Video
Publishing your video in Cinema8 makes it available for sharing, with customisable privacy settings and advanced interactive options. Whether you're sharing publicly or with specific audiences, Cinema8 provides flexible controls to manage video access securely and efficiently.
Steps to publish a videoStep 1: Finalise your video content
- Open your video in Cinema8 Creative Studio.
- Ensure all edits, interactions, and elements are complete:
- Check interactivity: Verify that all interactive elements like hotspots, forms, and branching paths are configured properly.
- Preview your video: Use the Preview Mode to test the video experience from a viewer’s perspective.
- 💡 Quick Tools: Use the quick actions on the left panel to add subtitles, chapters, or collaborate on the video.
Step 2: Publish your video
Click the Publish button in the top-right corner of the editor. Once published, the video will display a "Published" status on the dashboard. 💡 You can still edit published videos and apply updates instantly without unpublishing them.
Step 3: Adjust privacy settings
Cinema8 allows you to set privacy controls for your videos, ensuring they’re shared securely.
- Open the Privacy Settings in the publishing panel.
- Choose one of the following options:
- Public: Anyone with the link can view the video.
- Private: Only selected users can access the video.
- Private settings include:
- Password Protection: Viewers must enter a password to access the video.
- Domain Restriction: Limit playback to specific domains by adding them to the allowlist.
Step 4: Enable sharing options
Once published, share your video using Cinema8’s sharing tools:
- Embed Code: Get an HTML code for embedding the video on websites.
- Social Sharing: Share the video directly on platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, or X.
- Personalised Links: Create unique, time-limited links for individual viewers with tracking options.
- SCORM Export: Export your interactive video as a SCORM package for LMS platforms like Moodle or Blackboard.
Step 5: Monitor video performance
After publishing, track your video’s success through Cinema8 Analytics:
- View video engagement: Check how viewers interact with the video (e.g., clicks, completions).
- Gather feedback: Enable video comments to collect viewer insights.
