How to Use Action Elements?

Enhance Video Interactivity with Cinema8 Action Elements

All interactive widgets in Cinema8 have action properties that trigger certain actions when they appear, disappear, or are clicked. The Action list is also available separately in the Elements panel under the name "Action."

You can add actions by dragging and dropping an Action widget to the timeline from the Elements panel. Assign a name to the widget and save it. Then, in the Properties panel, select an action from the Action list.

Now, let's explore each action in detail.

Pause Video

This action pauses the video at the point it was added. Use "Pause Video" to keep objects visible on the screen longer for viewers.

Play Video

This action resumes playback if the video was paused at the designated point. It is useful in places where the video is set to pause.

Jump in This Project

This action allows the video to skip to a specific time point. Use it to jump from one point to another in the same video.

Action Value: Specify the target time for the jump.

Jump to Another Project

This action directs viewers to another video project and allows you to set the start time for the new video.

Project: Select the target project.

Start Time: Set the start time of the new video.

Set Visible

This action makes an invisible object (image, HTML, video, countdown, or clickable area) visible at the designated time.

Target Track: Choose the widget to make visible.

Note: Ensure the target element is added, invisible, and named before using this action.

Set Invisible

This action makes a currently visible object (image, HTML, video, countdown, or clickable area) invisible.

Target Track: Select the object to hide.

Note: Ensure the target element is visible and named before using this action.

Play Audio

This action starts playing an audio file at the designated point.

Target Track: Select the audio file to play.

Note: The audio element must be added and named before using this action.

Stop Audio

This action stops a playing audio file at the designated point.

Target Track: Select the audio file to stop.

Note: The audio element must be added and named before using this action.

Open URL

This action opens a specified URL in the viewer's browser when triggered.

Url: Enter the URL to open.

Mute Video

This action mutes the video during the designated time interval.

Playback Speed

This action sets the playback speed for the video during the designated time interval.

Rewind Video

This action rewinds the video to a specified time.

Action Value: Specify the target rewind time.

Show Player Controls

This action displays player controls.

Hide Player Controls

This action hides player controls.

Enable Play Button

This action enables the play button if previously disabled.

Disable Play Button

This action disables the play button if it is active.

Note: Use this feature to prevent viewers from controlling playback in paused areas.

Enable Pause Button

This action enables the pause button if previously disabled.

Disable Pause Button

This action disables the pause button if it is active.

Enable Seekbar

This action enables the seekbar if it was disabled.

Disable Seekbar

This action disables the seekbar if it was active.

Set Variable

This feature allows you to create values using interactions within the video, enabling conditional actions based on viewer input
