How to Use Question Templates
Adding and Customizing Question Templates in Your Videos
You can add questions to your videos in Cinema8, and customize the design of the question templates to better fit your content. Let's go through how to change and apply question templates.
First, return to the main menu and click the Tools button.
Then, click the Question Template button on the next page.
You'll see a screen with several options:
- 1. Search question templates
- 2. Your question templates
- 3. Default question templates created by the Cinema8 team
- 4. New Question Template button to create a new template
- 5. Question template settings
To create a new question template, click the New Question Template button.
- 1. Enter a name for your question template
- 2. Set the status to active or passive (inactive templates will not be accessible)
- 3. Click to create your new question template
Once created, go to the My Templates section and click Actions > Edit to modify your template.
In the editing screen, you can use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to design your question template:
- 1. HTML code area
- 2. CSS code area
- 3. JavaScript code area
- 4. Button to save your question template design
To apply the question template in your videos, you can do this in two ways:
- 1. From the Player Themes settings in the Cinema8 admin panel, which will apply the template across all videos.
- 2. Directly in the Properties of each question element in the Studio, allowing for a specific template on individual questions.
Note: Choosing a question template from Player Settings will apply it to all videos, while selecting it from a video's Properties will only apply to that specific video.
