Protecting your video content is essential, especially if it includes sensitive information, exclusive materials, or premium content. Cinema8 provides robust privacy settings to ensure complete control over who can access your videos. Additionally, Cinema8 streamed videos cannot be downloaded, offering an extra layer of security against unauthorised distribution.

Open your video in Cinema8 Creative Studio. Click the Share button in the top-right corner. Navigate to the Privacy Settings tab.
Step 2: Choose a privacy option
Set video access level:
- Public: Ideal for promotional content shared widely.
- Unlisted: Share videos with select audiences without making them publicly searchable.
Enable password protection:
- Check the Password Protected option. Enter a secure password for viewers to access the video.
Restrict playback to domains:
- Check the Domain Restricted option. Add the authorised domains (one per line) where the video can be embedded.
Generate time-limited links:
- Use Personalised Links to create unique access links for specific users with expiry options.
- Streaming protection: Cinema8 streamed videos cannot be downloaded, ensuring your content is secure from unauthorised copying or sharing.
- Single-use links: Limit links to one-time use to prevent sharing with unauthorised viewers.
- Analytics tracking: Track viewer interactions, including watch time, completions, and clicks, to monitor access and engagement.
- Always test privacy settings before sharing links to ensure they function as expected.
- Regularly review your analytics data to monitor who’s accessing your videos and from where.
- For premium content, pair domain restrictions with time-limited links for maximum control.
