Understanding Layer Management for Interactive Video Projects

There may be situations when the user will add more than one element to the same time intervals on your interactive videos. To do this, Cinema8 Creative Studio offers the user a layer of working structure. In fact, it is very simple to use, as it has a structure similar to all the design and post-production programs the user may be familiar with. Let's look at the layer structure in Cinema8.

Cinema8 - Working with Layers, Best Practices and Samples

Think of the layers as a stack of transparent elements. Every element is part of the overall interaction. The order of these layers is very important. The element the user adds to the top layer can hide the element in the layer below it.

Notes
The user can  read the video overlay article, which is one of the best examples of using layers.

In Cinema8 Editor, layers are located just to the left of the video timeline. The user can add as many layers as needed by clicking the plus (+) icon here. Each new layer is positioned under the last one. If the user wishes, they can move a layer by clicking the up-down arrow to the left of the layer name and dragging it up or down.

The user can rename a layer by clicking the edit icon located just to the right of the layer name. The other icon to the right allows the user to delete that layer. Keep in mind that this operation cannot be undone once the layer is deleted.

It can be very difficult to work on complex projects. However, thanks to the layer hiding feature, the user can simplify their scenes that appear complicated due to too many elements. All they need to do is click the eye icon to the left of the layer. Don't forget to activate this layer when the user publishes the project.
