Creating Action Buttons in Cinema8 Creative Studio

Action buttons are interactive elements that prompt viewers to engage with your content—whether it’s clicking a link, subscribing, or downloading a file. In Cinema8, you can add fully customizable action buttons to any point in your video, making them an effective tool for boosting conversions and engagement.

How to Create an Action Button

Step 1: Open the Video in Creative Studio

  • Log into your Cinema8 dashboard
  • Select your project and click Edit to open it in Creative Studio

Step 2: Add a Button Widget

  • In the Elements Panel, drag the Widget Element onto the video timeline
  • From the Widget Library, choose a button type:
    • Call-to-Action Button
    • Download Button
    • Shop Now Button

Step 3: Customize Button Properties

  • Select the button on your timeline to open the Properties Panel
  • Set the following:
    • Text – Use a clear action label (e.g., “Learn More”, “Sign Up Now”)
    • Link – Add the destination URL or set a trigger action
    • Timing – Choose when the button appears and disappears
    • Positioning – Adjust placement using top, left, width, and height controls

Step 4: Style the Button

  • Adjust the visual appearance to match your branding:
    • Font size and color
    • Background color or gradient
    • Border and shadow effects
    • Hover interactions (e.g., color change, animation)

Step 5: Add Entry and Exit Animations

  • Choose animations in the Properties Panel:
    • Options: Fade, Slide, Bounce, Zoom, etc.
  • Adjust duration and delay to sync with your video flow

Step 6: Preview and Save

  • Use Preview Mode to check placement and behavior
  • Click Save once everything looks and works as expected

Best Practices for Action Buttons

🚀 Pro Tip: Position buttons during key conversion moments—such as after a compelling demo or before the video ends.

  • Be direct – Use strong, actionable language like “Get Access” or “Start Free Trial”
  • Add urgency – Phrases like “Today Only” or “Limited Time” drive quicker decisions
  • Stay on-brand – Ensure font, color, and button style align with your visual identity
  • Avoid clutter – Use one clear CTA per scene for maximum clarity

Next Steps

Now that you’ve mastered action buttons, start using them to guide viewers toward your goals—whether it’s boosting signups, driving traffic, or encouraging downloads. Interactive buttons are a small addition that can make a big impact.
