Organising Video Libraries

Cinema8 CMS helps you manage your video content with ease—whether you’re editing projects, publishing final videos, or storing raw footage. A well-organised library saves time, improves collaboration, and keeps your creative workflow running smoothly.

Understanding the Library Structure

  • My Videos
This section includes all videos you’ve worked on—edited, enhanced with interactivity, or prepared for publishing. It’s your main workspace for content that’s audience-ready.

  • Library
This is where your raw video assets live. It includes screen recordings, uploads, and unedited files you may want to reuse or repurpose in future projects.

How to Organise Your Library

Step 1: Access Your Library

  • Log in to the Cinema8 Dashboard.
  • Navigate to My Videos or Library from the sidebar, depending on whether you’re working with final videos or raw assets.

Step 2: Create and Use Folders

  • Click Create Folder to set up a new organisational structure.
  • Use meaningful names (e.g., Client Projects, Webinars, 2024 Assets) to make navigation intuitive.
  • Drag and drop videos into the appropriate folders to stay organised.
  • Use the Search bar to quickly locate videos by title.
  • Apply filters based on tags, platform, creation date, or file type to narrow your results.

🗂️ Pro Tip: Establish a consistent naming convention and folder hierarchy across your team—this saves time and ensures a smooth collaboration experience.

Keeping your library structured helps streamline your entire production process—especially as your volume of content grows.
