How to Use the Jump To Element in Cinema8

Creating Seamless Transitions Between Video Moments

The Jump To element allows you to skip to a specific point in the same video or to another project entirely. This is useful for creating branching scenarios, skipping intros, or fast-forwarding based on user input.

Step 1: Add the Element

Drag and drop the Jump To element from the Elements list onto the timeline.

A setup panel will appear.

Step 2: Choose Jump Target

Decide whether to jump:

  • Within the Current Project
  • To Another Project

Specify the Jump Time in seconds.

Step 3: Configure Target Project (if applicable)

If jumping to another project:

  • Select the Target Project
  • Set the Start Time within that project

Step 4: Save Settings

Click the Save button to finalize the configuration. The element will now appear on your timeline.

Step 5: Edit Properties (Optional)

Click the Jump To element to reveal properties:

  • Name the element
  • Set the Entry Time
  • Adjust Jump Time
  • Optionally define Post-Jump Action
  • Save or delete as needed
